I have the version the OP posted. Mine was black with the "red cage" too.

I also got a Pikachu (the color version), and a Tamagotchi (First version, it was pink and yellow)

i remember as a kid we weren't really allowed to have them in school so my mom would take it and feed the digimon and whatnot while she was at work, pretty hilarious haha
