Japanese electronics ac coverter. Hi guys i m thining about buying hardware from japan their ac specs are "AC100V 50/60Hz" what do i need to buy here to make it work. Sorry i m pretty dumb when it comes to voltages and such. |
it' work here with no convertors japan is the same as in north america 100-120 @ 60Hz |
just plug that sucker in. Wikipedia could've solved that for you pretty fast... |
yeah right? ic, cause i thought we have 120, and on the spec sheet it said 100, so it wouldn't have enough power to run it, here is the page if anyone care to take a look at it for me. http://buffalo.jp/products/catalog/s...ex.html?p=spec "AC100V 50/60Hz" it dosn't say the usual 100-120V thanks all. |
I can't read any of that stuff. it's an external Blu-Ray burner? why do you need an external? |
Cuz i have an imac lol. |
hrm, I'm assuming it just uses a wall adapter not an internal adapter correct? |
100 or 120 at 60Hz, everything is approximate anyways, its just an RMS value, it should work no hitch. if it was 40+ voltage diff then it would make a big difference. most of the stuff we plug into the walls here are rated 100 - 110v anyways. |
W/o a convertor you may fry whatever you're using. I fried my convertor for the rice cooker & hot water maker & both fried shortly after. |
