If you read publications about cars long enough, you'll no doubt catch on to our pro-wagon bias. In fact, if us auto-journo types ran things, SUVs, CUVs and sedans would be banned, and all passenger cars would either be mid-engined, 500 horsepower coupes or 600 hp wagons. With manuals and roll up windows. No, really. This is the type of thinking required to join our vaunted profession. However, one of the many reasons we want mega-burly wagons isn't to haul one ton of dope around.

Seems that a twin-turbo, Lambo-V10 engined Audi RS6 Avant (good for at least 580 hp:eek:) was busted outside of Seville, Spain for not only going 133 mph, but for carrying 2,000 pounds of pot. Twenty-seven bundles of hashish to be specific. Value? €120,000, or about $180,000 USD. That's a lot of grass, man. And probably about one thousand pounds more than a RS6 sedan could have carried. Er... umm... we mean.... "Bad RS6 Avant, bad!"

2000 pounds, only 180k USD? what is that? wholesale?

murd0c 11-24-2009 05:55 PM

it's just hash, in eurpoe it's worth a lot less then good weed since they make large ammounts due to the quality of the buds being a lower grade since the enviroment is harder to get quality out of the plants.

I wish we could get a sweet wagon like that out here. The closest we can get is the CST-V Wagon when it comes out.

you want to sell 2000 lbs of pot joint by joint, dime by dime?

n'drew 11-24-2009 11:19 PM

dime by dime that would be 4.480 mil if that was weed from bc. 2000 pounds at 1000 a pound would be 2 mil and thats UNDERPRICING IT.

MDMA 11-24-2009 11:23 PM

so slang a $5 joint to a kid, risk getting busted and thrown in jail for probably a guaranteed sentencing of a couple years. is it worth it? theres not much short-run gain from this risky venture

penner2k 11-25-2009 09:42 PM

I'm starting to wonder about this story..
Sure the RS6 is a big car but I'm not sure it could fit that much weed in it.

This is what 485 lbs of weed looks like

If that takes up the entire bed of an Avalanche I couldnt see the RS6 being able to carry over 4 times that. Maybe if he filled the car and then pulled the engine out and filled the engine bay too they could fit 2000 lbs.

CallTransOpt 11-25-2009 10:23 PM

Ahahaha

well. it says 27 bundles of hashish. which takes up alot less space than weed.
