yup, '87 323GT hatchback! i loved this car, actually sort of regret selling it. was awesome in the snow even with shit ass 2nd hand all season tires!

look into the chevy cavaliers, cheapest cars ever and nothing ever breaks down.

boostfever 11-26-2009 09:53 PM

civic. mine has 270K and still going strong (for a civic lol )
great gas mileage, reliable, cheap parts, simple to fix.

don't get an accord unless you need the room or your friend would think civic is unsafe.

v67gsr 11-26-2009 10:53 PM

Civic and Corolla is over priced in used market. for the price people asking, you can get accord and camry of the same year.

oldsnail 11-26-2009 10:57 PM

If you want luxury, comfort, maneuverability, and decent fuel mileage.
91-95 Infiniti G20 (P10) can be had for that price.

but civics are great.. i sold my 93 si hatch, but it had 350k and still running strong when i let her go.

my friend is needing to sell his car asap its a 91 lexus ls400 is asking price is 3500 pm me if you're intersted

The cars with the 3.8L Series 1 engines?

i.e: Buick Park Avenue, Etc.

Those are practically bulletproof.

Mileage isn't bad, and the insurance is likely cheaper.

I know, not the prettiest cars but it'll get the job done, with parts being plentiful and cost-efficient.

You're breaking my heart!

Just wait till the zombie outbreak. My tank will be cruising along with 3 dead zombies between the tires and 1 through the engine and I'll be alright.

They're not necessarily cheap, they are however, cheaply made
Go with the DA, 2nd gen integra, good gas mileage, light on maintenance, and also a good platform to use if he ever decides to CARE about cars and mod it

The thing is if your friend is going to do highway driving a lot, you mind as well go with bigger cars.. much more stable.. and much more comfortable.

2-4k is a nice car.

A beater is anything just over a thousand and left. Tell him to buy a volvo then get a bunch of suspension parts with the extra money. Then he can have mad tyte handling yo

xXDragonXx 11-29-2009 04:12 PM

I got my 1992 4-Door Tercel 3-4 years ago and I haven't run into any problems yet. Friend also has the same model tercel and he uses it to drive to Whistler, Kelowna, etc with no problems for him either. Cheap on gas and cheaper insurance too =] Tercels are quite cheap on the market as well.

threezero 11-29-2009 05:47 PM
