Anyone Work for MercedesBenz ???

hey guys, i visited my local mb dealer, and they cant find any part numbers for the black series...my parts specialist didnt have a clue what i was talking about..and im afraid he will get me the wrong parts if i order it by pre-paying.

I even gave him a VIN number from a BS and still came up with nothing...

So if anyone can help me out on getting 2 part numbers it would be awesome.

anyways its this piece here...the silver gear selector plate and the shift knob.
i just need those 2 p/n to confirm with the parts devision so i dont get screwed out of 347 bucks for the wrong part.

thanks.

Its a huge plastic/leather nub...lol.
Im trying to clean up the look of my interior, the huge OEM shifter and leather boot looks out of place in a sea of dry silver carbon fiber. Its too big and clunky looking.

IRCC, the Black Series doesn't get clearance for sale in Canada. I am guessing the parts inventory computer only shows parts available for Canadian cars, so the Black Series might not even exists.

I hope you're asking on MBWorld. Someone sourced me the Part # for a McLaren badge from the SLR, I'm sure they can find the BS parts.

by local if you mean Boundary rd MB. Try a different dealer they are the biggest bunch of fucking morons in that parts department. I think there is 3-4 guys working in the parts department and they all have no idea what they are doing.

CLK brakes are really easy to change out...

pick up the front pads, rear pads and both brake sensors and i'll show you how to do it.

no need to spend 240 bucks on labour.

^ good on you to offer help

Iron Chef 12-18-2009 09:49 PM

not recommended to replace pads only
rotors are probrably pretty scored or have a really large lip which will cut the sensor shortly after its replaced
rotors will never last 2 sets of pads
