Tattletales - I hate them
 

Tattletales, who else can't stand them?

Twice in the last 6 months I've had to deal with these pricks who are too scared or think they'll be made important by escalating an issue to a highers-up.

today, my landlord just came to my door and told me he was getting complaints of parties and noise into the early morning from other tennants. this came as news to me since a) I've never had more than 3 guests in my apartment at any one time b) those guests are over to watch HNIC, play some video games, and then we are out of there by 11pm or no later than midnight to go to the bar usually. c) asside from a couple saturday nights where i brought a woman home with me where we went straight to business, i've never had any guests here past midnight. thats ok though, i can try to be a little more quiet.

but my issue is, why am i hearing this from my landlord first and not from the neighbours that had complaints? why could they have not knocked on my door and politely asked me to keep it down or left a note or something? its not like they're some scared old ladies afraid to deal with me, everyone that complained is around my age.


and back in the summer, i had a car parked on the street infront of my parents house after i had removed some parts so it could be towed to the new owners. the tow-truck didn't show so it sat for over a day. it still had valid plates and everything. someone in the neighbourhood didn't like it being there, thought it was leaking coolant all over the road for her precious dogs to drink. that was impossible since i had drained the entire car of its coolant and oil - it was just drain water coming down the street from someone watering their grass a few houses up. anyways, instead of coming to the door of the house this car was clearly parked infront of to share her concerns, she calls the police. so the police show up at my parents house and question them about the car. my mom informs them of what is happening with it and police accepted that. but why the fuck is someone wasting the policeman's time having him drive up there to ask about a car when the person complaining could have just dealt with it themselves? why is she escalating to potentially having fines and infractions with the law when it wasn't necessary? my family has lived in that neighbourhood for almost 30 years, we are well known, we get along with our neighbours, etc. so why did it have to come to tattletales to the police over a car parked for less than 48 hrs (the cops told my mom it was allowed to be there for up to 72hrs)? I mean the whole thing had me thinking of F&TF with Johnny Tran having SWAT raid his house!


i was raised to not be a tattletale. if i had an issue with someone, there were steps to take to resolve them and that started with first confronting that person and politely informing them of my concerns or asking them nicely to stop. is this all relating to the whole lack-of-respect issue that seems to becoming more prevailant?

A lot of people don't like confrontation. You don't know who is who, what their business is, or who else they know. Safer just to remain anonymous.

you never know who carries a gun nowadays. but the noise thing is stupid.

it is the landlords job to do that.

i see it as they are doing the right thing going to ur landlord. thats not tattletaling, thats called a strata style complaint.

you can get fined for working on ur car on the street. i dont think its legal. and as a pet owner, id be concerned too if liquids were leaking.

what you see as ur god given right, should be seen as if you are allowed to do that on public property. public in this case is in the definition of owned and operated by the gov't. tough situ, but swallow up ur pride, go to the neighbors or ur landlord and if not ur fault then explain, but be civil and mature about it.

SWAT came into my house, disrespected my whole family because somebody narc'd me out!

neighbours probably called property management and then PM called your landlord. chances are neighbours knew you'd just blow up at them like you are online right now so they figured to let the proper owner deal with it.

I can understand not knocking on somebodies door because even if you ask nicely it doesn't mean the person will be nice about it and comply. Often they will just act like fucking jerks and basically say wtf are you going to do about it. Then that person in the future complains directly to the landlord instead and the person then "knows" who complained and a war starts. I guess a note would be anonymous but if somebody wants the noise to stop right away that doesn't work.

good eyes Berz, thing woke me up 5am last year on Dec27th, ran to the kitchen grabbed a big butcher knife and stabbed it. It's skin was like leather and I could not puncture it (I had a sharp henkel knife) so I stabbed it and had to move the knife around until I broke its back. Made me so fricken happy. It was driving me crazy for weeks.

snitches have always been frowned upon... regardless what age, lifestyle u lead

but this isnt snitching because according to you you're not doing anything wrong... it would only be snitching if you were doing something wrong and are pissed someone ratted on you ;)


but i agree that its ridiculous that they didn't have the courtesy of coming to you first
