BMW "service required" indicator light (green color bars)
 
Does the green bars indicated maintenance required as the bars diminish.

How can I reset it once I complete oil change. I don't plan to take it to BMW dealer for a simple oil change.

You need a Peake device.. or a GT1. Depending on the age of your car.
