How to setup windows?

So I got a windows 7 disc from my friend.

It boots it up then it goes to a cmd.exe screen.
X:/ windows/system32>wpeinit

Now wtf am I supposed to do?

Do I type in setup.exe? I don't have the instruction manual.

I got my keyboard to type something in once and sometimes it doesn't? Wtf wireless keyboard.
I was told I was supposed to find the drive first, and that's it.

Not a legit cd, but I have a legit product key.

The installer is supposed to load up a Windows GUI Shell with all the bare essentials for you to go through the clean install process. What you are going through sounds like it's going into recovery console? Maybe, get another copy or try booting it on another machine if it is doing the same thing.

you should just have to pop in a disc, boot from CD, follow the GUI. I can't remember XP but I know Vista/7 a child could set up.

It should automatically take you to the installer. If it doesn't, something's wrong with your friend's copy.

In any case, if you're taken to a command prompt, first find out which drive letter is the disc. Then your next job is to find out where setup.exe is located using the dir command, and just type setup.exe once you're in that folder. Use the commands cd (insert folder name) and cd .. to browse the directories.

If all else fails, just call up your friend.

Just go into your BIOS and change your CD/DVD drive to boot first then just restart and boot up from the CD.

as others have mentioned, you need to boot with the DVD
