BrendanS Detailed: 06 Corvette Z06 *56K...does still exist?

Got called up on Friday night to detail this beauty. The paint was in poor condition, it's stored outside so I decided to "up" the protection on it. I researched a bit before getting into it, turns out corvette clear is rock hard as well...fun fun. Results were worth it to me though, but unfortunately the paint was chipped pretty bad in some areas. So that robbed some of the results, but it still turned out great. I spent two and a half days with breaks on this vette. The hard clear coat was a pain. But anyways here are the list of products used:

Wash:
- 2 Bucket Method w/ Grit Guards
- Raceglaze Sheepskin Washmitt
- Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff
- Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss
- Sunlight Dishwashing Detergent

Clay:
- Riccardo Yellow Clay
- Optimum No Rinse Clay Lube Dilution

Wheels/Tires:
- Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff
- Raceglaze XL Wheel Brush
- Meguiars Tire Brush
- Sponge
- Swissvax Wheel Brush
- Gloss-It Signature Tire Gloss
- Blackfire Metal Sealant (2 coats)
- Collinite 845 (2 coats)

Interior:
- Ridgid WD1450 Shop Vac w/ Detailing Accessory Kit
- Majestic Solutions Leather & Plastic Cleaner
- Lexol Leather Conditioner
- Finish Kare 108 Dressing
- Finish Kare 316 Fabric Sealant
- Chemical Guys Window Cleaner
- Collinite 845 (windows 2 coats)
- RagShack Window WW
- Wal-Mart MFs
- Autowerkes Exclusive MF Applicator Pads

Door Jambs:
- Optimum No Rinse
- Collinite 845 (2 Coats)

Engine Bay:
- Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff
- Finish Kare 108 Dressing
- Autowerkes Exclusive MF Applicator Pads

Metal Polish:
- P21S Polishing Soap
- P21S Finish Restorer
- Blackfire All Metal Sealant (3 coats)

Paint Correction:
- Flex 3403
- Gloss-it 3" Backing Plate
- Gloss-it 5" Backing Plate
- DD Uber Orange Pad 4"
- DD Uber Yellow Pad 4"
- DD Uber Orange Pad 5"
- DD Uber Yellow Pad 5"
- Menzerna Power Finish
- Brinkmann Dual Xenon
- Mastercraft LED Flashlight
- Wool Duster
- 3M Green Painters Tape

Last Step Protection:
- Bilt Hamber Autobalm (2 coats)
- DD Uber Foam Applicator
- Cookie Monster Buffing Towel V2

So here is how the vette was delivered...it's been sitting outside under a tree so keep that in mind, and it hasn't been detailed before.

Here it is after a wash, it's all taped up and ready to be polished

50/50 shot after one pass of power gloss on a DD Yellow Uber Pad

Some more befores and some durings

Don't have pics of it, but I gave it a wash after it was polished and began to apply Bilt Hamber Autobalm. I applied two coats of it, the second coat was applied the next day.

I wish I could come home to this garage everyday

Afters:

I didn't get very many good pictures because it was dark by the time I finished a lot and there was no sun up. So I did my best. I got about 95% correction on this, I was pleased with the results. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking, Brendan

haha to be honest I'm not going to be surprised, but atleast next time it'll be easier for me to detail since it's got loads of protection on it

i think it really depends on you

If you already semi detailed wax/sealant sometime around october than you might be able to wait until early next year.

If you havent detailed since mid summer than you should probably detail it before christmas...since weather is gonna be cold for the next 2 weeks and possibly snow
