rb20det Tuning Hey all. Looking to beef up a rb20det but make it a dd. So far it has a fmic bov boost at 10psi. stock ecu, intake. 3"catback-Big Rad What im thinking rb25 turbo or vg30det turbo(will it fit?) chip ecu or a piggyback system(apex neo?) gtr Injectors What ever makes me gain power This will be a winter project so I am in no hurry. Ive done my sr20 with a t3 top mount Kit and I was very happy with the results but t3/t4 dont have good boost band. What should i do? how much will it cost an how much hp/tq should I expect. |
rb20det well, like you said, changing turbine to rb25det is very common up grade back home, it is running .65 bar or so you can still boost up to 1 bar or so with piggy back without problems, for VG30det turbine might be another option for you. about injectors, it is depending on your boost and turbine size and HP that you are trying to achieve, I would not recommend using BNR32(GTR) injectors because they are running different impedance. depending on your budget, my suggestion would be boost controller & piggy back which has some sort of boost cut system in it, if you have any questions feel free visit us. cheers, |
Gtr injectors work great, just make sure to get the resistor pack with them! Would suggest saving your $$ for a better turbo then the oem rb25 unit, GT30R or something along those lines (gt2871 ect). Buying old used turbos can turn in to a big hassle! + the rb25 still have a ceramic exhaust wheel = fail. p.s there is a set of gtr injectors with resistor pack for $150 on gtrc |
Great info here. I am planning on getting a piggy back system and a wideband this next couple weekend or so. I just like get a bit more boost of the othe rb without changing anything internally. still a dd so keeping it good on gas would be great |
when i drove that car it seemed to lack low end :/ http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/f...ing-guide.html good info |
