car alarm led not blinking, details inside.

I'm trying to learn about my car but am unfamiliar with electrical components, so your patience would be appreciated.

I'll try to make this simple:

-when I got the car, the stock stereo had the blinking light to show the car was locked.

-there was ALSO an aftermarket alarm/immobilizer installed, and whoever did it also placed another red led into my center console; however, it did not blink (i'm assuming because the stock stereo already had the blink so they didn't use it)

- I've now taken the stock stereo out and placed an aftermarket one in. Of course the led on my center console does not blink.

Any ideas as to where to look to fix the wiring so that it blinks?

I would have to suggest bringing it to a sponsor's shop for a quick look to see what your options are.

Maybe something came loose on the aftermarket LED. Doesn't make sense to install the immobilizer LED without hooking it up.

Any sponsor can figure it out quickly.
