Where to shoot in Vancouver on cold/wet nights...?

Yeah, why not? I'm doing a photoshoot for Fujifilm near there Friday night...it's not that bad. People tend to keep to themselves.

Bloedel Conservatory... while it's still there.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to walk around there at night by yourself. Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

is your equipment environmentally sealed? There are risks to the equipment for shooting during cold and wet days. Moisture is the #1 destroyer of all cameras. Even on sealed bodies, you gotta some how change that memory card by opening the door!

but if you can wait for the rain to stop, the wet cement really gives the road some contrast for shooting. It makes it look interesting compared to a dry road.

Just finished shooting an ad for Fujifilm Canada in and around the DTES. We were never approached at all. We had $25,000 of photo & lighting equipment between the two of us...I was a little nervous, but it was fine.

Haha...fine. Here's an outtake. I can't show you any of the final image contenders, as Fujifilm is using it in an ad. What we did was scan Fuji film boxes and print them out on our Canon iPF6100 printer so the large boxes were about 4' tall. Then went out and just placed them in various parts of the city. This one was taken behind the Jack Chow Building in Chinatown. :)
