contact local shops on BCBimmers.com One good thing about BMW is there are tons of indie shops.

e36 transmission can be easily rebuilt.

import_luva 12-08-2009 02:18 AM

my friend was quoted over 4k to rebuild or something which i thot was bs

lowside67 12-08-2009 08:04 AM

Lol you can buy a used E36 5spd transmission for $500 any day of the week if you keep your eyes open.

Again go to BCBimmers.. plenty of indie shop.

If your friend is dumb and grenaded the transmission, and the shop wants a rebuild it from scratch then yes.. it can cost up to 4k.. but mostly in labour.

Its a shop that is run by native americans that use their extensive knowledge of the spirits and nature to rebuilt bmw transmissions.

Or a independent shop, which ever.
