yes you can make it up there but there is no way you can make it to the side streets(hills).. it is very bad there every year.. many who lives there parked the car at 7/11
the city does not plow the side streets or they plow it at the very end of the season, the road will be piled of snow if not it will be very icy
I have seen many car accidents in that area or cars that can't make it ( i belived they dont equip with snow tires)..drive safe in that area as many cars will just park on Panorama and made the road more narrow than it is now

yes i can drive. i survived last winter with all seasons 325i e46 with dsc off lol.
but i never drove 18" in da snow before and dont know how it handles.

it can get crazy going downhill too. last winter, there was a parked accord and a subaru going downhill had his wheels locked but at the rate of 1km/h he slidded down at an angle and eventually hit the accord. i was right behind him and i was able to stop fine though.... lol

Vancouver drivers suck.

I don't understand how someone can't drive around in a RWD car with snow tires and not crash? It's not that hard...

But then again, I'm white...

keep a steady speed going up to Westwood Plateau, there are some steep hills in some places.. when it's snowing keep speed steady, if you slow down to much you might get stuck if you are a noob.

Greenstoner 12-13-2009 10:20 PM

^ yeah , never fucking stop if you going uphill...
i never stop even its turns into red light onto Johnson .... i ran a red light once when there was a cop behind me, he didnt do anything .. lol

simsimi1004 12-17-2009 09:47 PM

i remember having to drift into my driveway cuz if i lose speed, i wouldn't have been able to make it lol....

I actually WANT snow now cuz i havent been able to test how good snowtires work!
