7th gen accord light problem

I just realised that when my 2003 accord LX V6 is running on D, sometimes the light output seems not to be as bright as when I put in N mode. But when I accelarate, the light output sometimes seems to be as bright as during in N mode. is it because of my battery or any electrical problem?
