Dual Audio Output? Hi, I want to have audio come out of my 2.1 speakers and headset simultaneously. I googled it and it seem slike most set up out there are SPIDF and analog speakers. My 2.1 uses the typical stereo analog output (plugged into onboard Realtek HD output)...but my headset uses USB digital (G35 7.1 headset). The confusing thing is I currently have windows audio settings, Asus Realtek HD output and G35 dolby surround software all running in the system tray. Any way I can select to run both output at once instead of going into windows and changing it everytime? |
Your USB headset also has a built-in sound card. As far as I know, you cannot have 2 soundcards activated simultaneously. If one sound card has more than one output, then yes...but the fact that you're using a USB headset, you're essentially trying to use 2 sound cards at the same time. If you don't want to make so many clicks to change your playback device, there are some programs out there that do it in 2 clicks. i.e. http://www.toflo.de/Downloads/Tools/Soundcard-Switcher/ |
^ thanks for clarifying. I had a feeling i couldn't run both "soundcards" at once. i figure it's just easier to plug in/take out the USB interface when i need it. |
