hauling a car from vancouver..

hey i really want to buy a 350z from vancouver, i have a few in mind that im looking at. But the highways right now are horrible to drive a rwd 300hp 350z across.. so i was wondering if anyone has a good site or company they know of that does this kind of hauling? And i live in Penticton (4hr drive from van)
cheers.

shit son u live far...i bet ur gonna be the only one with a Z...iono i never been to penticton.
are u buying from a dealership or private sale? im sure if ur buying from a dealership you could probably pay a bit extra for them to put it on a freight

turner492 12-10-2009 07:43 AM

haha no theres quite a few z's in town here, none that are all done up or anything though. But im buying from a private sale.

ic u moved out of Van eh

shenmecar 12-10-2009 09:24 AM

haha just drive slower?

Raid3n 12-10-2009 11:01 AM

the road should be fine as long as you have snow tires and you are easy on the throttle.

i just drove hwy 3 and its bare for the most part

The roads are fine. I've been driving to Vancouver <-> Kelowna and back for the past few weekends. Snow tires + limit your throttle input = you'll be fine..

if your not capable of a driving a 350z on the highway. i dont think you can handle driving it on pentiction roads in the winter. just wait til summer. dont rush into buying one. youll find a wicked deal eventually. 350z is one hella of a car. Is this your first RWD?

turner492 12-10-2009 10:39 PM

i can drive a 350z on a highway.. but if theres snow and ice on some parts.. with no snow tires.. i just found a good deal on a few and will park it in my garage and take it out on some days that arent snowy and ugly. And yah my first rwd car.. im pretty stoked haha.

Good plan on not driving icy highways on summer tires :) The other people on the roads thank you!

Have you tried looking in the yellow pages or asking if the seller knows of a company?

saiko 12-11-2009 03:48 PM

suggestion...

take the greyhound, rent a uhaul with a trolley and trailer it back?

Iceman-19 12-11-2009 06:27 PM

Rent a trailer and pay me $150 and Ill take it up there next weekend.

falcon 12-11-2009 06:38 PM

Just drive it. The Coq isn't that bad. Go during the daytime, and go after there has been a few days of clear weather. The road will be plowed.

Just make sure to run the car through a full car wash with an underbody cleaning when you get home. Don't need any rust.

If you need, find some snowies on craigslist. There are tons of them on there right now.

the coq is not worthy of summer tires.
