CS:S $5USD Steam this Wknd

5 year old game...anyone still play it?

I've easily put 1000+ hours into CS 1.3-1.6

tried this for free to play while back..hate the hitboxes..feels like a dumbdown version of original CS

but for $5 it's tempting and esp the original community is pretty much dead now.

the last time I played there was a tonne of servers, I just went to check for you guys but I think I got ban hammered or something? cause when I try to boot CS:S it tells me to buy it :S

edit: nvm fixed it, I just checked the server list tho, and I stopped when it went over 25,000 servers. there's still a huge community going.

just a question, why cant L4D have the same feature that CS:S source had?

like automatically download custom maps when you join a game?

i just find a hassle to to install the maps that i download and find popular ones that ppl constanstly played on..

either way i prefer CS:S over 1.6 now....

I bought 10 copies. It'll make good Christmas gifts, and maybe I can get CS installed onto some of the work computers for some office fun.

if you look for 24/7 map servers you should find people. especially in iceworld. but those 24/7 maps start you off with 16k usually which i dont like.
