rx300 does not blow out warm/hot air posting this for a friend hes driving around with no heat, he says it blows out air but not hot or warm.. his heater gauge w.e u call it stays in middle.. what you guys think it would be? |
clogged heater core |
would this thing be easy to access and unclog? |
changing heater core is not easy before you replacing the heater care I would suggest checking the valve in heater hose(if there is one) |
Incomplete or improper bleeding of the cooling system could also cause this due to air bubbles blocking the heater core; did he recently have it in for service? |
are you losing coolant or anything like that? heater core could be cracked/clogged or even a combination of the two. |
or it could be the air mix servo's im pretty sure that all your climate controls are done electrically so you would be looking for a bad motor/servo |
check the heater hoses to teh firewall to make sure they are hot when the engine is warm... it should be too hot to hold onto for more than 5 seconds... look under the dash, adn see if the aluminum pipes that go thru the firewall are hot.. if they are, look to see if your heater door is moving when you adjust the heat... |
