No. Go to a sponsors shop for good wire. the nice, flexible stuff that is more efficient that the generic wire from those places. Do it once, do it right.

DONE!

Car runs again. All it took was a new battery terminal and she's as good as new.

Like Hannibal used to say: "I love it when a plan comes together."

In the future, make sure your jumper connections are really good, use good cables and ground to the engine (not the neg. terminal). I've actually seen batteries explode from that.

I've decent cables. Battery wasn't dead so no need to jump. She started up under her own steam.

I find it eerily strange how all those symptoms can be traced to a simple battery terminal. Although it sure beats having to spend $928349028409283 on parts and tedious labour!
