Awesome story.
Have a similar one of my own.
Was out for a cruise with a few members of another local car club (though I felt a little out of place in my Accord while everyone else was driving proper sport cars with 300+hp ) and bombing through the back roads of Langley. We pass by the Langley airport and there's a blue Ford Escape with Olympic plates pulled off on the side of the road. I didn't give it any thought at the time. As we turn onto Fraser Highway heading towards Abbotsford, I see the same vehicle coming up pretty quickly behind us. I pull over to the right lane to let him pass, as does my buddy in the car ahead of me. We were already going a few clicks over the limit but slowed down to the speed limit since we both knew there was a cop shop at the top of the hill. As the Escape slowly passes us, the rest of the crew zooms off and starts swerving through traffic. The Escape then quickly speeds up and starts off after the other cars. My buddy in the other car and I both knew our destination and since we didn't feel like driving like jackasses, we kept at the speed limit and continued plodding on. About fifteen minutes later we arrive at the destination... only to find that the driver of the Escape was an off duty police officer and had started busting everyone else on the drive. As my buddy and I show up, he gives us a quick look and tells us to take off since we hadn't done enough wrong to make it worth the time to write a ticket.
As we were leaving, a couple marked cop cars showed up and started threatening everyone else with one week impounds and immediate licence suspensions. They even arrested one of the members for arguing.
In the end, though, they were just given level two speeding tickets and sent on their way.
Doesn't beat the Van240's bust, though... |

I van240, though. Still have some raw footage from a few years back when I filmed some drifting, er... "events."
Noble is my secret lover, even though he doesn't know it. |
