Emailable digital photo frame Does anybody have the Camnex eFrame? It is on sale this upcoming week at Futureshop for 50 bucks off. Have you even heard of this brand? I'm thinking of either this or a Sony for a XMAS gift. Here, you can email a photo directly to the frame. Kinda neat, but hopefully somebody who has one can provide some feedbacks. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...36&catid=24916 http://www.camnex.net/i-39-E_Frame.html |
Got a poor review on the FS blog website. http://www.futureshopforums.com/t5/T...69CE1A7CDF28AE Im looking at the Kodak 10 inch wireless. |
I just bought a Koadak 10 inch WiFi frame from BB price matched with stapes for $162 plus taxes and I bought the Camnex from FS. I will test both of them and post witch ones better. |
Thanks Manic! Features-wise, I see the Camnex has a lot more than any other frame available. For the Kodak, can you email a photo directly to the frame? The Camnex also has Internet Radio and apps like Facebook. The only problem is, I've never heard of Camnex before. |
no name brands usually have more features packed in and is comparable in price to brand name products with less features... always the case regardless of product. |
I used the camnex bit. The bad. The remote: When you press the down button and hold it it only goes down once, so when when you are trying to find a online radio station it's a pain when you got over 500 stations listed in the U.K. The speaker: It can only be herd from a few feet away and there is no audio out so listening to online radio is kink of pointless. Emailing pictures: The max file size limit is 2 MB. The manual: it's out of date and the steps in it to make a email account are wrong. Weather frame channel: Does not list Nanaimo closest are Vancouver and Victoria The good E-mail pics: Once you get the e-mail set up it works great. Frame channels: there are a ton of frame channels you can ad including a Canucks one that keeps you update with all the scores. Overall: it's bigger than the Kodak that i have not opened up. Has more internal memory 2 gigs vs 512 and does everything the Kodak can do with no problems and costs the same. For a e-mailable picture frame it works great. I am going to try a few more tests on the Camnex but as of now for the price it's a keeper. |
Hello Manic! Yes I just bought the Camnex due to the features and that it is $50 off this week. I am hoping I made the right decision but I can always return the item if it sucks. So far so good. Thanks for pointing out the out-dated manual. I had to download their latest version on their website. This will be great gift and you can then email a photo directly to it. Very interesting concept. I currently have the sports updates and local news headlines along with Twitter and Facebook accounts. Let me know how the Kodak does. |
I just bought this today. Anyone know how to make it so the slideshow is random? |
hello moomooCow, it doesn't seem to have this random feature. I see features like ascending/descending by date, time and filename but not random. |
Yeah those were the only modes I could find too... Kind of silly that it doesn't have a random mode imo... Have you guys noticed that when you add the Facebook Photos app, the "random pictures" aren't really that random? My gf has like 1300 tagged pictures but it seems a few pictures always gets displayed... any ideas? |
