Long distance texting

So the situation is that I am from Vancouver, but I am in Calgary for vacation. I have a texting plan from Rogers (unlimited one). Being in Calgary at the moment, if I were to text back to Vancouver would I be charged?

If you are on Telus, you can text Vancouver numbers with no charge. Not sure about the other carriers.

Okay I didn't want to make a new thread but for Telus Unlimited incoming and outgoing text messages. Is it still free if I texted from Canada to someone that is in US (Receiving and outgoing). Cause I know Rogers charges for US text messages if you text from Canada but It's free to receive from US.
