Explosion downtown Explosion in downtown Vancouver VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980) Janet Brown | Email news tips to Janet 12/23/2009 An explosion has rocked the intersection of Seymour and Georgia in downtown Vancouver Wednesday morning just before noon. People walking nearby say they heard a loud bang and a nearby manhole cover blew off, sending black smoke into the sky. Witnesses say several workers were down in the manhole and at least three were pulled out. Firefighters on scene stripped down at least one of the workers and hosed him off, his arms black. He was taken away in an ambulance. http://www.cknw.com/Channels/Reg/New...spx?ID=1178596 My prayers to the workers in the manhole. I hope they are okay! Kev |

Yes, Miss Crayon is a dude. I've met him before. This is like the time in 06 when the same thing happened near the corner of Richards and Dunsmuir. My entire apartment smelled like burnt wiring thanks to that fire. |

umm, that's crazy LOL. it says the manhole cover flew off, I wonder how high, and if it hit anyone... at least in the bright side no car was ontop of that manhole when it blew. |
