B series exhaust system Sooo I got rid of my BuddyClub spec3 exhaust....now i want one thats significantly more quiet but not boring. Need some opinions and experiences with such exhausts. Options: Apex WS2 Greddy SP2/SE Spoon Sports Street Tanabe Concept G? Suggestions? car is with 2.5 header + test pipe |
I loved my Apex'i WS2 on my 01 integra gs but it's real quiet and imo, almost no better than the factory ITR exhaust system. Are you planning on complete catback system? The Spoon B-pipe will cost ya an arm and a leg. I do like the Greddy SP2, construction looks nice and it's slightly louder and deeper compared to the WS2 or Spoon Sports Street. I can't wait to see what my car will sound like with the Mugen Twin Loop. |
mugen twinloop ftw |
bah twin loop was my first choice, since i havnt been able to find one used and its aGplus i might settle for less but im still hoping...exhaust will be stock til probably may anyway since i go to college in the states. Bos_DC2 do you know an Austin from fleetwood area surrey? |
Anything is quieter than the buddy club you have. lol. I've had the WS2 and I currently have the Greddy SE. Love them both very quiet on the low rpms but as soon as you open it up, it sounds sweet. Out of the two I'd say WS2 is alot quieter. Greddy SE I'm able to hear it a bit at lower rpms. |
sis has a apexi gt spec new for 97-01 integra should be just under 2.5" diameter brand new in box |
greddy SE looks like a winner...nice finish too |
Spoon N1 :) |

Good choice  |
sp2 is not that quiet |
+1 for Apexi GT Spec |
My vote is for the Apexi WS2. That's what I'm running on my B series. I've had it now for about 2.5 years or so, and is still going strong. The way people are talking about it here, they make it sound like it barely makes any noise! It does, let me assure you, but it's not obnoxious. Especially since you're running a test pipe, you'll definately hear it. I've never been hassled by the cops, and lots of people have commented on how nice it sounds. Try searching around on YouTube. You'll get a very rough idea of how each exhaust will sound with your motor. Won't be exactly how yours will sound, but will give an idea. When I bought mine, it just so happened that the Apexi WS2 was the cheapest too out of the few I was looking at (Greddy, Tanabe, etc). Probably because the piping from the cat to the muffler isn't polished stainless steel (has a black powder coated type finish). I actually prefered this look, but to each their own. |
