Fail Button...and.

Yeah, I'm just gonna say it. That was a bad idea. There's a reason FB doesn't have a "UNLIKE" button as well. It would lead to the same thing.

Troll failing. everything becomes a failure.

I thought of maybe reducing the amounts of fails you can give out, but really that's not gonna change a thing, it'll only change the rate at which fails are being given out.

it's not something you can really enforce or moderate on an even field.

and... just a friendly reminder that I think there is a particular user who is banned, who was supposed to be temp banned. he brought great entertainment to the RS community. lol. i think we all know who he is. we have another user who is banned, who is afraid his ban is going to end up the same, a temporary ban, but of course, these things are never just that temporary, someone has to actually remember to unban them, and whoever that someone is, usually doesn't care to remember. just a friendly reminder, for now.

I don't see the point in banning someone because they used the fail button. I'm pretty sure the second user got banned because he failed a mod's post because he didn't agree with it.

If the button is there, why can't they use it? If you can't take getting failed, don't post things that could get you failed. You shouldn't ban someone out of anger because you can (assuming my assumptions are correct).

Temp bans are like normal bans. Mods have the ability to ban and choose the amount of days for the ban. After those days are over, the system will automatically reinstate the user.

So as for "remembering", if the Mod did it properly, you would not need to remember. The system will do it for you. Otherwise, the Mod either intentionally did a permanent ban or did the ban incorrectly.
