Acura TL "Ghetto" rear DVD entertainment solution OK... this is probably temporary but works quite well and doesn't involve any straps or messy wires or whatever and, er, is quite quite cheap to do! So I took my dynex 9" portable DVD player: http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd1.jpg plastered black velcro all over the bottom of it: http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd2.jpg and then I laid down a few blocks of velcro along the top edge of the middle console: http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd3.jpg ...then I planted the portable DVD player onto the velcro: http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd4.jpg The screen opens up and is also supported quite well with the 2 front seats on each side http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd5.jpg ...and there you have it.. .. thanks to the magnificient leg room in the TL's rear, my passengers can now enjoy DVD entertainment. http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd6.jpg http://www.user.dccnet.com/sislam/dvd7.jpg |
when you said ghetto, you really meant it :) |
only a rs member i tell u... |
um...... u can afford a TL but u cant afford a headrest monitor? and wouldn't it be a bitch to be looking downwards for 2 hours |
good setup to keep the kids busy in the backseat on trips Event Horizon = gangster ass movie I feel like watching it now for the 10th time |
It's quick and simple. Serves its purpose. Not everybody wants to spend tonnes of time and money on integration and install. As Adon pointed out, it'll keep the people in the back seats occupied. Besides, porn is good on any system, LOL. |
Even easier to hide when parking. |

Ghetto FTW! |
ahh sometimes the ghetto way is the best way i guess |
I used to do the same thing in my old ford windstar. Except I used my laptop and lodged it between the front two seats so it sits on the armrest. I sat in the middle row and watched movies. =) |

I say that's awesome! sadly my accord doesn't have enough room in the middle to fit my 10" panasonic |
