Oakridge / RC has high rent. i say Lansdowne... Blackmarkers need to do some Locational Break Even analysis :D ... |
I think a store like yours would be best served as a boutique shop, not a mall store. But maybe I'm wrong |
you guys really have no idea the rent difference. oakridge you're looking at 15k a month, easily. parker place you're looking at maybe 5k.... yea, do the math. but no, i wouldn't start up at parker place either. it's just an annoying mall to be at, and i find that mall has a funky smell to it. i wouldn't want to buy an expensive nice shirt and find that it seems like dried seafood. |
no to parker place. too many stores that sell fake products..so much that I'm dont wanna spend time differentiating which store sells authentic ones and which sells fakes. I just dont buy clothing there altogether haha BUT..I wouldnt mind a pickup location there like online ordering and parker place pickup would be fine with me |
the target market you sell wouldnt belong in parkerplace nothing against senses, but u guys sell premium clothes, and if ur still in the process of looking for brand identity, ParkerPlace is for sure no way |
no. to parker place, majority of the stuff sold there are fake ( from clothing to dvds). Better off going for aberdeen since its also an asian mall. Alot of empty spaces at aberdeen lately. |
I am pretty sure we are not going to go ahead with Parker Place. What do you guys think of 4th street, or the area near Broadway and Granville? |
Its alright^^ Busy place to go I think the problem would be parking T_T |

Just like at headquarters shop in Richmond. Location was "prime" since it was next to the skytrain station and bus station, btu they stil went down. I would just stick with the online business thing. Oakridge seems better imo, since the clothing you guys sell seem to be the demographic @ oakridge. |
No to Parker. Stick to online, or do Oakridge/Metro. Even Aberdeen is pretty poor of a location, since people don't go in there to shop for menswear. |
Clement, i think thats a horrible choice, and pick up more recognizable brand names :D. I showed a couple of friends your website, and Crooks and Castle is the only one that we recognized. |
No to Parker Place too. People don't even shop there...they just go there for the food court. |
No, why not open shop somewhere in Gastown? Amongst all the other stores like complex, livestock, alife etc.. |
^ the stuff they sell probably wouldn't be able to stand up to the likes of alife, gdft, livestock, stussy, dutil, etc. because of all the counterfeit clothing being sold at parker place, it's gonna look bad on your guys's store too. people that don't know their stuff aren't even gonna bother to come in because every other store in parker that sells streetwear is fake. you're better off at (like others have said) oakridge, metro, rc, aber..pretty much any other big mall in the lower mainland aside from parker plus parking there is shit |
im gonna have to say considering of having a location on granville/broadway is a great idea. yeah parking might not be the best but there's tons of foot traffic with all the transit/major stores/businesses around. also, i'd suggest checking out main street as well! that area is super up and coming with all the interesting restaurants/cafes and people are so hip! good luck! |

Please set up shop, I don't want to pay almost $20 shipping anymore for something I could've drove to pick up or even canada lined to... :( |
Yes, West 4th or Gastown area is great! :) Maybe even Vancouver Granville is fine(Over the bridge non downtown) |
Wouldn't gastown have expensive rent as well? Just remember since you're store is focused mostly on street wear brands, you have to think about the competition there too. ie. Subdivision, Haven, Livestock, and Complex just to name a few. But it could also be good for your reputation and people that are interested in street wear will start checking out your store too since their down there. You guys should take over "Circle's" old location since its closed down now. |

Main Street hahaha much better close to me  |
I do not shop at Parker Place but if you guys setup a store somewhere I'd come check it out, it beats paying for shipping. |
I was thinking West 4th or Gastown would be ideal. Parker Place IMO is comparable to Crystal Mall. |
No to parker place. Cause I only go there once in a blue moon just to check out CarTronix. |
like someone said earlier, parker place has a history of selling counterfeit shops, or brands nobody really knows about. when i go parker place, its only to eat or get some bbt with chicks. heck, i dont even shop at aberdeen. i go RC / metrotown / downtown to buy my clothes |
