I want to install a steam game into a new computer.
The game is already installed in another older computer.
Is it possible to copy the installation file from the older PC into the new PC w/o downloading the entire thing again from steam?
The game is 4GB+, it takes forever to download and I am short on bandwidth.
Thanks
Creates a backup of any game (be careful though, it doesn't include saved games and player profiles). Just transfer the backup to any other computer and run the .exe file.
For me it doesn't tend to work properly if you try to backup multiple games at once. I would suggest doing them one at a time.
it didn't work for me either... maybe it was because it was from winxp to vista?
