Anyone have a good understanding if there is any potential to make money with Iraqi Dinar? Specifically if you think there will be a revaluation of the currency?

You can buy Iraqi Dinar on ebay from US citizens.
The basic story is this: pre 1990 ( when the emargo started ) the Dinar was worth 1 dinar = 3.5 us dollars. Before the last war (2002) it was around 2000 Dinar per US dollar . It is way down something like $120 us per 100K Dinar.
There is rampant speculation that this currency will start being revalued closer to its previous value. Iraq is sitting on one of the largest reserves of oil in the world .
right now there is no trading possible of the Dinar...but [B]if [B]it opens up and if it is revalued some people are speculating that it will eventually come back closer to par with the US dollar.
Smells like bullshit to me but i have no clue...

Pure speculation - if you're going for buying iraqi dinar, why don't you just buy penny stocks.
Same thing, hard to value something that isn't market tradable and only through "ebay". That already makes me ....hmm..
Yes if is legit and i miss the boat, so be it. I personally rather have something that i can trade easily then on "ebay".
