split cable for internet and TV? is this oK?

k, i only have one cable outlet in my PC room. can i split the cable to a tv tuner (USB stick) as well, or will this cause slowdowns or interferance to my PC's internet?

The signal has been split a dozen times before it gets to you. Another split won't make a difference.

i had to call in to shaw when i did that and they sent someone over to boost my signal to that one outlet cuz my internet would slow down when i have the tuner on

That was the case for me too in Montreal. Play it safe and call them to check.

You can get signal boosters (plugs into the wall). Our old house had one that Shaw put in there so the signal for the last TV wasn't fuzzy. You can just try it and if you notice problems call Shaw or find a booster.
