not because they were a team. Fuck the USA | Patrick Kane is American. Patrick Kane wouldnt even qualify to play for the Americans this year anyways.
Yea, they were missing those certain players, big fucking deal. In a short tournament like this, you gotta play as a team. Meaning lose like a team and win like a team. It didnt fucking matter last year who scored the most goals or who did what. These short tournaments require precision teamwork and craftmanship enroute to victory
The Americans had the Goaltending
The Americans had the Penalty Kill
The Americans had NOTHING to play for
Now i wont go as far as saying they were better or they were worst, becuz there were aspects of their game and the canadian game which made the two teams the best. For one thing, the US pretty much SHUTDOWN the very scary looking Canadian powerplay. Everyone hears this alot, special teams and goaltending wins champions
The Americans were very discipline to begin with and when they were a man down, the PK was very structured, I have not seen a PK in a long time where the box would move as synchronized as the Americans did. The forwards on the PK were very JUMPY as well, look at all the times when the US were able to break up the passing play becuz of how well they positioned themselves.
Both games were close to perfect, and when a mistake occured, the opposition would take advantage of the situation and turn it into a goal. This goes both ways.
The Goaltending for both squads were "solid" to a point. but the Canadian kids cheated on some shots and thats never good. |
