Sick EG Time attack car rocking the k20 Is there really that many benefits to a wing on this EG? The car is sick otherwise, but I don't know, from a looks standpoint, doesn't work for me. http://www.gtcars.ca/images/blog/tim...c-image-05.jpg http://www.gtcars.ca/images/blog/tim...c-image-02.jpg source |
That's pretty sick, but I think he can shave off 0.01 seconds if he added spoon mirrors... |

lol really? i didn't know that. that's economy class baby  |
it only have 1 side skirt also. must be the godly weight savings:p |
you'll be surprise how some fwd's setup can be tail happy at the limits. It is to prevent any understeer at low speed large angle corners but will also have all the traction needed when going high speed wide sweepers. |

The reason he needs a functional wing is to make an FWD car reasonably fast around the track, it needs to be set up to oversteer for slow speed corners to avoid push. However, this would make it extremely difficult to drive through high speed corners. The wing doesnt add any real downforce at slow speeds so the car is reasonably loose around slower speed sections but once you are on a high speed section, the wing is effective and helps plant the rear so it's a bit less loose. Aero is one of the best ways to tune how the car works at low and high speed sections independently. |

I think the wing is to prevent stuff like this from happening. |
