how many cars goes through a gas station a day?

how many cars do you think a gas station will serve a day on average? I'm kinda curious.

Meowjin 01-07-2010 08:53 PM

depends on location?

skyxx 01-07-2010 08:54 PM

Depends on which location and which "brand" of gas.

murd0c 01-07-2010 08:55 PM

tell me a location and station and I could find out for you.

GabAlmighty 01-07-2010 09:01 PM

Good question, actually

Boostaholic 01-07-2010 11:16 PM

let's say some where busy, burrard and granville. can't remember which brand that one is.

Manic! 01-07-2010 11:54 PM

How many pumps???

fetched 01-08-2010 12:03 AM

a busy chevron could sell between 15,000 to 30,000 litres per day. Summer should be the highest. $30 should be the average, 500-1000 cars per day.
8 pump station.

Mugen EvOlutioN 01-08-2010 01:22 AM

You would be wrong.
Location and appearance has lots to do with it.

skyxx 01-08-2010 02:17 AM

Sort of off topic but owning a gas station sucks balls plus you gotta wait in line to actually run a franchise. You don't earn much money off the gas but mostly on the stuff you sell in the store.

slammer111 01-08-2010 02:24 AM

^ It's true, one of my dad's friends looked into running one and basically decided not to.

You do make money off gas sales but it's very, very low.

As for the # of cars, location would probably be the #1 determining factor. That and price compared to, say, another station across the street. So I'm not sure if you can get a blanket # here.
