Theft at UBC Rose Garden Parkade
 

In the past week (Jan 4 to Jan 8), there has been 6 known break-ins at the Rose Garden parking lot, 5th floor. I am the 6th. Be careful as there is a thief (or plural) who is around.

Did you notice a car alarm going off (mine) on Jan 8th, between 9am to 5pm at this location? If you have any info on any suspicious activity, please let me or the RCMP know. Thanks.

i parked there all the time. I notice car alarm going off actually, but I thought it was from my exhaust, hahaha. I didn't see anyone around though

pay so much for parking and still have to deal with theft...good luck with everything.

My buddy was broken into that week as well. Had his laptop stolen in the 15 mins he left it parked for.

Don't leave your belongings visibly in the car, don't let people see you putting things into your trunk and if you were to put your belongings in your trunk, make sure you lock your trunk with your key.

yeah rose garden parkade 5th floor is becoming extremely heaty. i don't park there anymore as you can almost expect 1 or more break-ins per day.
