Mic install in an S2000
 

JVC KD-AVX33 deck with bluetooth phone capabilities.
I have the deck installed in my S for a while now but I never bothered hooking up the mic for the phone function and now that it is law to use the handsfree, my question is what would a good place be to install the mic? I love to have the top down or windows open whenever I get a chance and the car is my DD.
My far also has a fairly loud exhaust, so is it even worth install the mic or should I pony up and get a BT ear piece?

since ambient noise is a big problem in that car, you'll probably have to experiment w/ a bunch of different locations. also hope your jvc deck is able to filter out some of the ambient noise. lots of phone products do a poor job of that.

You'll be heard, but with lots of noise. Better than a ticket and 3 points.

I don't have a convertible, but the mic in my Honda Fit is on the dash next to the steering wheel and it works fine.
