Subdued in 2009, America’s most important auto show is back on track at the start of a new and more optimistic year. General Motors and Ford will take center stage with a long list of new and important products including the 2011 Ford Focus
, 2011 Ford Mustang GT, Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, 2011 Chevrolet Aveo, Buick Regal GS, GMC Granite Concept, Cadillac XTS Concept and Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. As for Chrysler, it doesn’t have any press conference scheduled, but it will display a rebadged five-door hatchback from Fiat's Lancia brand, as well as a lineup of Fiat 500 models, including a convertible, electric version and a sporty Abarth model. Now under Fiat’s wing, the Chrysler booth with also display amazing machines from both Ferrari and Maserati.

Other important vehicles debuting at the show include the Honda CR-Z Hybrid, a dedicated hybrid concept from Toyota, the 2011 BMW 3 Series, BMW Z4 sDrive35is, 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, MINI Beachcomber Concept and the Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet.

There’s sure to be plenty more as well, so check back often as we update this page with the latest breaking news from the Detroit Auto Show starting January 11th.

A couple years late, but I'm excited to see the Euro Focus come to North America. :D

gm cars =:Puke:
euro ford is good to see!

North Americans need to accept the fact that our cars are not modern enough... they are too big, use too much gas and are too cheaply made. There's a reason why our auto industry is in so much trouble, plus all the best selling N American cars are usually made by Asian car manufactures anyways.

To be fair, those are the reasons American cars gain so much ground in the 80-90s. The just didnt build on their success while other players caught up

I like the Regal GS! It's a Opel Insignia with a 2.0T Di engine + 6spd manual!

yeah I agree, but mass production just isn't feasible anymore. It used to be that overseas factories produced products that were cheap and inferior in quality to similar products manufactured in north america, the only benefit was cheap labour. But now the quality of mass production coming out of countries like japan, taiwan, korea, and china can be just as good as the products manufactured here but they still have cheaper labour, not to mention that their mass production practices are more efficient. if N American auto manufatures are to survive they will either have to be bought by euro and asian manufacturers or completely refine not only their manufacturing practices but the cars we manufacture.
