Most of everything you see on Jersey Shore is "scripted", I know 2 girls who where hired by production to act as the booty call girls for the night. For the interactions they have at the places of employment and in the night clubs, there are hired individuals as well as public individuals. For example, for general public persons to get into their place of employment, you have to line up, are screened by production. Production also tells you what to say and what not to say, you sign a waiver and then go in. Works the same for the shots inside the clubs. Producers also give the cast a general outline for story lines they want to see.
