Should I Reflash to Stock?
 

I'm currently on Bell with a HTC Touch Diamond, and I'm going to be getting a Nokia E71 tomorrow.

Now since I need to get a SIM card for my E71, they'll more than likely deactivate my Diamond, right? So should I reflash everything to stock, or will they still deactivate it regardless?

Can anyone provide me some insight?

the phone's service on the diamond will deactivate regardless of what firmware you are running on it. what are you trying to do? reflash to stock and have 2 phones running on the same phone #? that's not possible if that's what you are trying to say.

Oh okay. No, I'm just curious if they'll deactivate it if I'm on a custom ROM.

The offline phone functions should still work. You just won't be able to use the phone portion.

They transferred the data from my phone to my new SIM. They didn't even check my phone, so everything went smoothly.
