OAK street bridge! current condition = SH_T!

Just drove on the oak street bridge from vancouver to richmond and vice versa.

it is littered with HUGE pot holes
approx 7 BIG ones if you are heading towards richmond ... most of which are the right lane passenger side (drivers side if u are JDM hahah). Some had the circumference of a basketball!

there are fewer coming back to vancouver ... maybe 2-3 that i noticed. also on the right lane passenger side. But these ones are smaller

Everyone drive safe!

Get a domestic and you wont have that problem.

FN-2199 01-14-2010 10:28 PM

Fuck, the bridge is so damn bad..

InvisibleSoul 01-14-2010 11:39 PM

That's weird... usually it gets that way from continuous freezing and thawing... water getting in the cracks, freezes and expands, then melts away and repeats... there hasn't been much of that at all this year.

I saw this thread too damned late and hit one pretty hard...The puddle doesn't help me identify them in the dark either.

holly fuck, just came from the oak bridge heading to Richmond to a buddies place... fucking potholes everywhere. You guys better watch out especially if you got mags on.

Fafine 01-15-2010 06:36 PM

went on it going towards richmond at lunch time it was bright so you can see the potholes its on the right lane and its pretty close to the side wall so you cna prob avoid it by staying closer to the white lane

racerman88 01-16-2010 10:29 AM

happens every year

Was going to say the exact same thing, happends every winter.

Prostrho 01-16-2010 05:52 PM

thats why stick with 15" winter tires til March 15s..

shenmecar 01-17-2010 12:07 AM

Oak Street Bridge is like this last year too. This is gonna take them another few months to fix, I like to stick to Knight or Granville (Arthur Laing) after the winter months. =)

Another place thats littered with potholes this year is Riverport. The parking lot outside the theater has potholes the size of a standard oil drain pan! Thats HUGE!!! I know most of you want to find a good spot close to the theater but SLOW DOWN, you don't want to bend anything!

hk20000 01-17-2010 01:23 PM

but it catches people off guard because it happens so many days after the temp is up from 0...

TomBox_N 01-18-2010 01:11 PM

it ok if it's nice out. I hit a big one the other da in the rain. I swear there's absolutely no way to tell that there's a pothole there.

skyxx 01-18-2010 05:59 PM

I run an Amphibious car. No problem at all!
