SkinnyPupp 01-18-2010 05:35 AM

Sorry but what the fuck does that have to do with anything?

mickz 01-18-2010 06:19 AM

isn't she the one that's always shown on tv getting arrested opposing this project?

SkinnyPupp 01-18-2010 06:20 AM

Oh yeah I saw her on TVB news once. I had no idea what they were talking about, I assumed they just showed her because she was pretty.

Fucking pappers are disgusting.

asian_XL 01-18-2010 07:08 AM

skinnypupp doesn't know she's really famous.
I believe she got punched in the protest outside Legco.

She looks like Chrissie Chau btw.

SkinnyPupp 01-18-2010 07:12 AM

I know who she is. Like I said, she's on TV a lot because she's pretty.

This type of stuff shows how so many HKers are such creepy pervs in a stalker-sorta-way.

TomBox_N 01-18-2010 01:57 PM

This rail is made more for China than HK. I'm pretty sure there will be great influx of Mainlander due to this project.

i was actually amazed at how many useless people are there in hk

the "poor" new generations dont do anything but take K, "hang out" and whatever.... actually almost all the new generations in hk... and the guys and girls are ugly as hell too... rich and good looking ones are either in private schools such as "wah yun" or get sent overseas... left in hk are the many garbage new generation relatively

This railroad is for HK's own benefit if you think about it.

if China is using fiberoptic 1000Mbps internet and HK sticks with 10Mbps
dialup ADSL, what's it's going to look like? Hk has to keep up with the Top-
notch city image

The estimate completion date is 2015, it is already 5 years behind the rest of
the country. HK can't keep up with the rest with the existing railroad system.

The highspeed train is a must, but definitely not at Kowloon West.

Kowloon West station is the main fucking problem. It doesn't have the
cleaning facilities for the trains. The train has to travel all the way back to
Shek Kong for cleaning, then come back to KLW to pick up passengers. It
takes 40km just to go back and forth, of course the cost is also 4x more.

Other than image, are there any other reasons that anyone can think of for building this thing? For tourism, the tourists are already taking the bus and train to Hong Kong if they are from Guangzhou and flying in if they are from Beijing, Shanghai, etc.

SkinnyPupp 01-18-2010 11:45 PM

This is nothing more than Hong Kong pandering to the commies.

asian_XL 01-19-2010 12:10 AM

^ 30 something years ago, when they started building MTR, people had the same reaction just like right now.

really... no one knows the HK's future and relationship with China. Maybe in the next decade, honger girls will be Mainlanders' "second milk", or we open dirty massage place for the Mainlanders, or we will go back and become villagers again

impactX 01-19-2010 12:42 AM

^ except the airplanes, buses and trains to China from HK and vice versa aren't going to put additional stress on our infrastructure system any time soon.

The government stressed on building the 6 new target industries, yet the funding going there are negligible compared to what they spent on the railway. Also, how will the railway help the 4 traditional pillar industries that the government always mentions in the policy address? The amount they spent can't be justified other than for the reason Skinnypupp mentioned.

PiuYi 01-19-2010 01:14 AM

hahaha "second milk"

the fact of the matter is, HK doesnt need this at the price its being "estimated" at (i see budget over-runs), plus HK shouldn't try to keep up with mainland infrastructure... they're building all new stuff, of course its gonna be better....

HK needs to take a step back, see if they actually need to spend 10 billion on something that won't benefit the majority of population, and i'm sure they'll realize this will cripple them for years to come

hahaha, ppl blamed "dun geen wah" when he was in office. But now it doesnt seem like Donald is making better polices than the "dun geen wah" era

In terms of public policy, Tsang didn't fuck up as bad as Tung, but his policies and his lack of foresight still piss off a lot of people.

hk20000 01-19-2010 07:38 PM

best the government they do now is not to make any significant moves. Have they not learn from history books?

hongers don't care about old people either

after throwing their parents into senior citizen homes those caring for them beat them and feed them shit ((according to stories in the news from HK))

JDMStyo 01-20-2010 09:27 AM

More infrastructure between China-HK means honger girls will be even more angry their bf/husbands are going for lower-maintenance-but-hotter girls from the North, lol...reminds me of that "gong nam gong lui" video from Youtube LOL!

Can't beat law of averages, when province have avg of 20 million+ people, the prettier ones are far better than flat chested honger chicks that only care about the latest LV bags
