Anyone Use A Staffing Agency Like Angusone/Randstad/Adecco??

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone here has used a staffing agency such as Angusone, Randstad, or Adecco.

I'm just looking to switch jobs and am looking to find one ASAP. I'm currently working retail and want to switch to something in more of a office environment. I have my Bachelors Degree in Business Administation with an Advanced Diploma in Marketing.

So if anyone has gone through a staffing agency before and would like to shed some insight or if anyone else has any advice to finding a job in a timely manner I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Try TEK Systems. They are located in Richmond.

I take temp jobs every now and then from AeroTek. Happy with the service I get, and they're more than happy to keep on calling me back for a pay cheque.

Randstad is the only useful staffing agency out there. Within 2 hours of interviewing with them, they called me up and got me an interview with a company.

How do these agencies work?
Do they just charge you a fee if you land a job?

Not that I know of. Usually they are paid by the employer and depends on what kind of placement (temp/perm) you get. If you get paid hourly, they usually take a cut from it (e.g. Employer pays $12/hr to agency and then agency pays you $9/hr) or they may get paid to screen for employees based on a set contract rate I guess.

^ they get pay by the employer, beware of temp staffing agency that charge fees up front they are usually scams.

Brutal if they get a cut of your pay...mcdix pays you 8/hr...after the cut you get enough for a happy meal an hour! Maybe just a coffee+muffin after taxes!!
