Kuroshio Sea @ Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Japan

This has got to be one of the coolest things anyone can ever see in real life. I have no idea how they keep the sharks from eating all the other fish though.

The main tank called the 'Kuroshio Sea' holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters.[2] Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.[3]

sharks eat when they're hungry, they don't just eat everything in their sight

If you're smart enough. Sharks don't just eat any fish that's in its way. If you really understood how the water world works. It's basically one giant family. They understand each other more than how humans understand each other.

Anyway, this just shows how amazing and beautiful our world is. Oh and I did some researching, the person who shot this is a cinematographer based in Vancouver. Pretty cool!

^ Sharks also wouldn't steal another fish's avatar and photochop it as their own.

theres this one video which shows the whole tank on static and plays with a smooth music. it was soothing

murd0c 10-15-2010 07:20 PM

yes I know the post is from a year ago but the reason why those Whale sharks do not eat other fish is because they don't eat other fish they only it plankton. Remember not all sharks eat other fish. ;)
