Buying Olympic Hockey Tickets From a Friend...Concerned on Validity at the Door

I've looked through all the jargon online and I've seen different things and I have no idea. So I've decided to see if there is anyone that has LEGITIMATE intel on how to go about rebuying tickets.

I have a friend that I'm going to buy some Olympic hockey tickets off of. They are hard copy tickets and I am paying face value for them. I dont want to go through the Vanoc fan-to-fan marketplace.

If I'm buying these tickets off a friend, a reputable source, whom I know isn't making copies and isnt scamming me, are the chances of me being safe at the doors very good or no better? Does a bill of sale help? They are lottery tickets so will I be required to show any ID, in which case would be the incorrect name?

I bought some Canucks tickets one time and they scanned them and in I went without issue. Are the protocols going to be any different? I've gotten a bit concerned with reading about how Vanoc will invalidate any resold tickets...but how will they know?

Lots of questions, I know, but any advice would be much appreciated, IF you are someone that knows a little something about this.

doubt it'll be a problem. So many people are re buying tickets. They wont hustle everyone, if even anyone.

doubt they'll ID you or invalidate resold tix since they've gotten into the business of reselling tickets themselves

as long as ur friend doesn't screw you by reselling them at fan-fan mkt place, you should be fine

i dont think they will ID everyone, but if you find there are people on your seats when you walked in then we might have a problem there :)

They don't ID at the door, I've already sold many tickets through craigslist and the verification I give the buyer is a copy of my ID, this gives them assurance I'm not fucking them over and as soon as they're sold i take them off the VanOC site

as long as he doesn't resell them via the auction site, you'll have no problems
