Safe to ship things via grey hound?

Safe to ship things via grey hound?

ive never done this does anyone know how will it work out? does it come with a tracking number? or do they just throw ur stuff in the luggage compartment? is it safe?

Good. Probably. Yes, it's being shipped. Insurance is your friend.

Jackygor 01-19-2010 09:50 PM

i got some stuff shipped via grey hound...no complaints. The package came in one piece.

TekDragon 01-19-2010 10:00 PM

Worked there as a temp for a while. Here's how it works.

1) Stuff is insured automatically for up to $100. $3 for every $100 you want after that.
2) No tracking. It gets there when it gets there. Make sure that they have CLEAR phone numbers for both the shipper and receiver. Its how the person receiving knows when it has arrived, they call them to come pick up.
3) Yes, it's placed in the luggage compartment. It is safe. Just make sure to pack it well so it doesn't rattle around inside the box you're shipping it in.

few years ago, used their service a lot, cheap! (at least with in canada) and when canada post fails during xmas, grey hound will shine.

AVS_Racing 01-19-2010 10:30 PM

shouldn't grey hound follow a schedule of when they will arrive? instead of just calling you? cuz im planning to ship wheels

Mugen EvOlutioN 01-19-2010 10:33 PM

shipped my rims no problem, slower but cheaper

just remember to buy insurance just in case

keifun 01-19-2010 10:52 PM

had my front bumper shipped from GA to Bellingham thru greyhound. Everything turned out ok. Probably cuz the bumper was bubble wrapped like crazy.

For sure way cheaper than going thru UPS, FedEX..etc.

I have my package lost 4 times from greyhound. Unless you have a bodykit or lip kit to ship, I would stay away from greyhound. Their rate is not cheap anymore compare to canada post anyways.

Had a roof rack shipped once. Crazy cheap and got here in one piece. :D

raygunpk 01-20-2010 04:01 AM

it should be safe, unless your package gets decapitated.

bought some shocks off a revscene member who lived in penticton and shipped it via greyhound. It came to my door very fast, was undamaged and was overall a smooth process. Cheaper than some alternatives too apparently.

asdfpic 01-20-2010 09:56 PM

yeah greyhound should be fine
shipped a set of 4 rims before, no problems

make sure you insure

Iceman-19 01-21-2010 07:21 AM
