I'm sorry to shit on your thread, but that wage is ridiculously uncompetitive for that position and the qualifications you ask for. |
post the company name. |
$15-17 an hour for a desktop support is unreasonable? this position is intented for a new grad student with some desktop knowledge, anyone with 2 yrs computer troubleshooting skill can apply. if you dont like the wage, go to somewhere else. company name is SITA |
1. 2 years experience - How is that an indication that your job posting is intended for new grads? It gives me the impression right off the bat that you're looking for someone who has a diploma/degree in IT with an ADDITIONAL 2 years of related work experience. 2. Desktop Support makes an average $45,000-$50,000/year, which by your definition is $22-25/hour. The wage you're paying is for an entry-level Helpdesk Level 1 Specialist position, which is a couple notches below Desktop Support Analyst. I don't recall any of the Fortune 500 Companies or any small businesses hiring Desktop Support Anaylsts right out of school, so your argument for the wage of this position being fit for a Desktop Support personnel is invalid. |
i dont understand why we have such an ass on the forum to bullshitting thing, you will be lucky to get $45K-50K for an entry level of desktop support position. come to the real world man :haha: I am here to helping some member to get into IT industry. please keep the shit for yourself. Anyone who is interested in this opening, please PM me for detail. |
Of course you cannot get paid $45-50k for entry-level Desktop Support, because there is no such thing as ENTRY-LEVEL desktop support position. Most companies don't hire new grads to do Desktop Support because they are INEXPERIENCED. I wouldn't need to re-iterate my previous post, if you haven't wasted all your time throwing profanity at me. Your job description is fit for a HELPDESK position, yet your misleading others into thinking it's a higher-up position. That's the point I am trying to make. |
Ok. The bickering stops here. Anybody interested in this position - PM the OP. |
