From NNTSANTT, I'm thinking as a visitor. 6 mo visitor visa potentially extended to 1 yr, though once in Korea you can apply for other visas (ie: E2 visa, assuming you've got a 4-year university degree.)

Just going there for a while to dick around and enjoy life. Going to be staying with a close friend rent-free. Her uncle works in the government, so apparently he can get me a work visa no problem.
