Seconday HDD issue

For some reason, my PC isn't detecting my secondary HDD lately. It's been on and off. One day I'll see my secondary hard drive on my computer and be able to access it, the next time I reboot and use it, it won't be there anymore.

Anyone got any idea what could be going on?

1.) Hard drive is starting to fail
2.) Cabling problem
3.) Hard drive controller on the motherboard is starting to fail
4.) Combination of any of the above
