can anyone recommend me an interior specialist shop? Can anyone recommend me a place to fix interior? My car is a '01 Civic coupe. What I need is to have a shop fix the half assed stereo job left from the previous owner. Some trim pieces of the interior were customized to fit stereo equipments. The sound systems are no longer there but the trim is like all messed . I need a shop that can fix it to original for me. Thx |
If you need fabric or leather to be replace or recoverd, Pacific Auto Trim does re-upholstery. If you need knicks and cuts in plastic to be filled and painted, Jay at New Creations does great work. If the plastic is beyond repair, you'll have to order new parts and have them installed to replace the broken ones. Any honda shop can do that. |
^ ? it's like missing 2 big trim pieces in the back. also missing the flat cardboard piece covering the spare tire. several trim pieces are loosely fitted but it does have dynomat on some of the exposed chassis metals. |
Junkyard for the rear misc. parts. Use your brain man. Tons of those civics around You dont need that flimsy POS cardboard, make one out of mdf or something. Leave the dynamat in. |
yup, start with looking at junkyards for the missing or modified trim pieces. if you can't get them to fit yourself, you can take it to a honda dealer or any decent shop that would be able to figure out how to get them back in. They might have to remove the dynamat if it prevents the factory trim from fitting into place. you don't need an upholstery or trim specialist for stuff like that. |
