Anyone know where i can buy Vanilla bean? (I dont want the extract i want the bean!)

At safeway its like 8bucks for 2 beans?!!

Anywhere else thats cheaper? or is the how mcuh they go for...

Yeah, that's how much it goes for. Real vanilla bean is expensive. Why not use that vanilla flavour syrup?

that's about the price.. whole foods also have them.

you can make vanilla extract by putting beans into vodka

It makes a difference if it is a garnish or uncooked.. otherwise if you are just adding it to a cake or something it doesn't make a difference.

i think at costco the beans are something like 12bucks for 6, so its a pretty good deal, and they are reall fat beans too.

Thanks, I already found that out by using it :P... couldnt taste or smell any difference other thenh aving floating black dots in my dessert
